4. Black White Denim, Wilmslow

Doing just what it says on the tin - selling only black, white or denim garments - this swish Cheshire store is only a year old but has already secured exclusive designs from British luminaries such as Richard Nicoll and Preen Collection. Loyal customers love the shop for its slick edit of Acne, Carven and L'Agence.

5. Bibi, Salcombe

Salcombe This French-feel boutique in Devon sells several European brands such as Dave Burger, American Vintage and Isabel De Pedro. Particularly well known for its great French leather jackets.


6. Collen & Clare, Southwold Get the contemporary country look with a fine selection of Barbours and Hunters as well as bags, Acne jeans, Penelope Chilvers's fabulous boots and scent by Annick Goutal.
