Indian Models Making Waves on International Fashion World
In the contemporary scene an Indian model making a catwalk at an international level is not something strange anymore. Maybe in the past it was considered something unusual but due to the ethnic diversity present now, the current fashion scenario is revolutionized. Nowadays there are many fashion models who dream of making it big in the modeling industry.
Nowadays as per the saying of experts there is no need to be more westernized in order to make waves at international level. You can hail from any corner of the world to accomplish in modeling. Also with the surge of Internet, everyone gains the same sort of information.
One cannot miss Aishwarya Rai Bachchan here who endorsed for international brand L’Oreal and also made it big. Indian models are also being sought by international brands.
Ujjwala Raut, Lakshmi Menon, Padmi and Lakshmi had got some great international campaigns. The uniqueness of the Indian look might be the reason for the Indian models to get the opportunity abroad. But again, Indian models need not seek success for making it big abroad. The fashion scenario of India is very huge and can give chances to several models.
Pooja Mor has made it big in the international fashion modeling world. Being a 5-foot 9-inched person and hailing from UP, this girl did not know anything about modeling earlier. She did well at academics and she participated in the Clean & Clear Fresh Face contest and garnered one among the regional finals.
Mor had once revealed that only when she happened to see her photo in the newspaper she had idea of getting into modeling. However, she decided to give it a try only after her graduation. She endeavored with Anima Creative Management and the rest of success followed. The interesting thing is that though she didn’t spend much time in taking steps to be a supermodel, she carved a niche for herself.
Natasha Ramachandran initially got to know about the ramp way back in 2007 when she garnered Secundarabad’s coveted RSI May Queen title. She also didn’t have any idea of getting into the modeling field at that time when she was 17. She just took part in it for the fun element. After that she focused on her graduation. Her real travel to the modeling field started only when she reached Mumbai to do audition for the prestigious Lakme Fashion Week.
Rasika Navare, who is a medical technology graduate, took part in a local beauty contest just for the fun of it while she studying in college. Now she is regarded as one of the most prominent models working internationally, who hail from India. Her first turning point was the campaign named Smashbox Cosmetics.
So there is no iota of doubt that Indian models are making waves in the international arena.
Having said that, modeling is not as easy as one may think it to be. You have to travel a lot and should possess grit and determination to make it big. Also, patience and perseverance matters a lot.
