He has won and been a finalist in various hairdressing contests, including the Wella Total Image Award (2001) and the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, Fellowship Academy of Merit And Excellence (2002).
He has also won awards for hat design, winning first prize as Hat Designer of the Year (2006) and gaining New Generation Sponsorship from the British Fashion Council (2007).
