It seeks to encourage thought-leadership, purposeful conversations, and solutions-driven approaches to the future of the fashion industry and beyond. This platform acts as a source of inspiration, information, and collaboration for the fashion industry and its people globally. Forces of fashion covers all aspects of the fashion industry, from art and design, to production, education, media, and sustainability. In India, the collaboration between the DCI and Vogue India has especially important, as India is one of the leading countries in the fashion industry. In fact, the Indian apparel industry contributes to more than 3% of the country’s GDP and is the second-largest employment provider in India with 48 million direct and indirect jobs.
Online fashion market in India is ever-growing and is projected to reach US$56.6 billion by 2023. With the launch of Forces of Fashion in India, DCI and Vogue India plan to provide a common platform to encourage fashion professionals to share their perspectives and insights.
