Next Top America’s Model Hits the Big Time
May 21st, 2010The winner of the new cycle of America’s Next Top Model will be featured on the wrap of Italian Vogue.
The announcement was made by The CW’s president of entertainment Dawn Ostroff throughout this morning’s upfront presentation.
It was later on confirmed by Jay Manuel, who wrote on his Twitter account: “Surprise!”
The competition will return to The CW for its 15th cycle afterward this year. The 14th season covered up last week, and saw Krista White scooping a contract with CoverGirl, representation with Wilhelmina Models and a cover spread with Seventeen magazine.
This season moreover saw the addition of new judge and Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley.

Milliner William Chambers to provide hat creation workshop
May 20th, 2010We can’t sing William Chambers’ praises highly sufficient at List Towers, and we’re not the only ones.
The young milliner regularly crops up on Scottish Fashion Awards shortlists, his attractively warped, intricate and fantastical creations have become catwalk accessories of option for Scottish fashion designs young guard.
His celebrity fans comprise the very fashion forward likes of Roisin Murphy.
Now he’s branching out into workshops, offering to enlighten you on techniques for building a simple headpiece of your own.
Basic materials are included in the price (£50 for six hours tuition), and you get to obtain your creation away with you at the end of the day, too.

Lady Gaga to detain for Hat Designer Philip Treacy?
May 19th, 2010No look for Lady Gaga is ever quite absolute without a headpiece. So it comes as no revelation that the singer would be interested in millinery.
And who superior to learn from than legendary Irish hat maker Philip Treacy–the couture hat designer behind her memorable Grammys lightning bolt headpiece, Sarah Jessica Parker‘s famous green topper for the London Sex and the City premiere and a preferred of the late fashion icon Isabella Blow.
But whether or not Gaga pursues in the path of stars like Ashley Olsen in becoming a design intern remains to be seen. While nothing is set in stone, it is true that she has request an internship with Philip, corroborates a rep for the label.
Having collaborated with Philip Treacy on a number of her most-famous headpieces, we imagine this would be a match made in fashion designing heaven.
