Nicole Scherzinger flies the flag for one more British designer as she heads to The X Factor boot camp
July 23rd, 2010Spending a lot of time in the UK is obviously having an influence on Nicole Scherzinger’s wardrobe.
Having already dressed to make an impression in two Victoria Beckham designs for her stint as a guest judge on ITV talent show The X Factor, the Pussycat Doll left her London hotel today in another British fashion designer’s creation.
Nicole, 32, looked chic and sexy in a dress by 24-year-old William Tempest that looked extremely similar to a Victoria Beckham design.
Hardly astonishing, as Mrs. Beckham is a big fan of Cheshire-born William, who worked for Giles Deacon while studying at London College of Fashion.
And his designs obviously suit Nicole’s taste too as she has previously proved herself to be a big fan of Posh Spice’s collection.
When Nicole she began as a guest judge on July 9 – stepping in to temporarily replace Cheryl Cole who is recovering from malaria – she arrived at the auditions in a figure-hugging grey VB dress, which emphasized her curves.

Exclusive: Designer Tracy Reese discussion About Being a Michelle Obama Favorite
July 22nd, 2010Michelle Obama has been speckled in an assortment of amazing fashion designer Tracy Reese dresses recently, so when I caught up with the designer at a party to celebrate the opening of Target’s first Manhattan store, I had just one question for her: What is it like to be a first lady favorite?
“It feels so good,” said Reese as she laughed and then went on to clarify how she met Obama for the first time at a fundraiser just two and a half years ago. “She gave me a large hug and she was like, ‘I love your things and I admire your work so much!'”
In nature, the designer was flattered–to say the least. “I was, shell-shocked,” she says, “because I didn’t even know that she knew who I was, and why she would?”
She intensely recalls what Obama said next: “‘I’d love to be wearing your clothes.'” To which, Reese (smartly) replied, “I would love that; it would be such an honor.”
While almost anything from the feminine chic label would seem amazing on the first lady, a lot of thought is given to what is sent to the White House for contemplation.
“I don’t think she wants to be fussing with her clothes all day,” says Reese on the topic of Obama’s sartorial necessities. “I wouldn’t want to send her anything that didn’t work for each occasion.”
