Tamara Mellon obtains OBE for Jimmy Choo’s services to fashion
October 21st, 2010Actresses, models and WAGs are often snapped sporting the latest Jimmy Choo designs, but currently it seems even the Queen is a fan of Tamara Mellon’s fashionable footwear too.
The Berkshire educated Jimmy Choo President and co-founder obtained an OBE for her services to the fashion industry.
And Mellon added a small piece of va va voom to Buckingham Palace as picking up her medal in a Dolce & Gabbana hat and polka dot ensemble.
The 43-year-old exposed that some younger royals are fans of the luxury brand too, alongside celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Madonna.
There are currently 115 Jimmy Choo stores worldwide, across 39 countries and Mellon said she was appreciative to everyone at Jimmy Choo and its customers around the globe for serving with her success.

Cheryl Cole shows a sight of newest leg tattoo at presentation of Madame Tussauds waxwork
October 20th, 2010
It was only revealed this morning, but Cheryl Cole has previously come up with a canny way for us to let know her apart from her waxwork figure.
As she met her new mirror image at Madame Tussauds this morning, the X Factor judge unintentionally exposed what appears to be a new tattoo, snaking around the top of her left thigh.
Wearing an unbelievably short white minidress, the singer gave a tantalizing peek of the tail-like etching, thought to be her sixth tattoo, at the unveiling event in London today.
A spokesperson for the star confirmed to Mail Online that she had obtained the new ink, but refused to be drawn on further information about what the etching is and when Cheryl had it done.
She has five other known tattoos – her much-copied hand design, barbed wire around her right upper thigh, a outsized butterfly design on her back, as well as one on the left side of her bottom and ‘Mrs C’ on her neck – rather she is said to be keen to eradicate.

Over again, Sunny Fong casts diverse models for his Vawk show
October 19th, 2010Vawk designer Sunny Fong debuted his spring-summer 2011 collection in one of our preferred venues: the AGO’s grand and airy Walker Court.
The theme, Toro Safari, mixed elements of Spain and Africa, even down to the seating arrangements—Fong had each sitting in concentric circles, as in a bullfighting arena.
African powers were evident in the giant saucer earrings models wore, the embossed crocodile print jackets and the slim safari pants.
The nude and cream color palette was a bit, well; beige, but we similar to the shock of the fuchsia-fringed mini in the middle of the show.
As in seasons past, Fong hired models of different body types and ages, giving spectators a opportunity to see the clothes on women other than glamazon automatons.
