The trend wheel rotates – floppy hats are back

July 14th, 2011

70s style! In the latest street lite report, it seems that the 70s headgear in question has succeeded in making its comeback. During show season, from the Manhattan sidewalks to the Parisian cobblestones, the floppy hat was the object of confidence on the part of the trend deciders. It actually happened to be popular. Floppy hats are really over sized hats with a big top and are on street today. Wide floppy brim lends an unhindered vibe, perfect for breezy summer days protecting them from the hot sun.
When a retro accessory makes a place for itself in the trends of a new season, one never knows how the fashionistas will take it in. but this clicked all. Some wore it as part of outfits recalling the looks of several 70s heroines, while others more cleverly chose to match it with a less dated dress code, thus revealing all of the accessory’s potential. The effortless dress duos – e.g., raw jeans/large knit pullover; trench/slims; leather leggings/denim shirt; or a-line skirt/thin sweatshirt – are given a new twist when coupled with the floppy wide brimmed hat.

How crazy can a photographer go!!

July 13th, 2011

I love seeing crazy fashion snaps, I’m sure you also do, it think it makes my creative mind work. Well last night, I went through the profile of this photographer called Martin Gardner. Amazing stuff!!  I’m in love with his work. Let me share about him. Martin Gardner has worked as a fashion, beauty and celebrity portrait photographer for more than 15 years.  Based in London, Martin has an extensive portfolio which includes photographing some of the world’s most celebrated personalities from film, music, TV and sport. His work has been used for a variety of album covers, magazine covers, features and advertising campaigns.
Martin’s iconic image of Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim) has been included in the British National Portrait Gallery’s permanent archive – the image has been used in exhibitions both at home and abroad to promote the National Portrait Gallery’s work to a younger audience. Martin also shoots moving images and has worked as a director on music promos for MTV and live broadcast interviews.
Have a look at the defined eyes, blue lips..a real nice click in my view. Then the last pic, he did not only concentrate on the model but also the back ground is thrilling with the diving scenario.
Do check out the gallery for his incredible work. I’m sure you will love it.
