Women dress up like men this season.

September 13th, 2011

Trends are changing, the cycle revolves again and this time it’s the women dressed like men, rather than dressing up lady like in delicate pretty garments. They look smart and bold , indicating what’s in vogue this time and it looks like suits are shaping up to be the major trend this season. We saw this in the New York fashion week where most of the celebrities came dressed in suits, it was not that all wore trousers as someone them were seen in a skirt or dress and blazer over it…

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen
The twins looked gorgeous, stylish in suits of their very own styling. Ashley stunned in a soft pink ensemble and gold Manolo Blahnik pumps with silver buckle detail. Her pulled-back hair completed the clean look. Mary-Kate wore a black blazer with big shoulders and zippered ankle skinny trousers.
Mila Kuniss
Mila appropriately wore a white Boca Negro pantsuit to Cosmopolitan’sFun Fearless Males of 2011 gala. She’s giving us Angelina Jolie in this sexy masculine look!
Petra Nemcova Petra Nemcova on our left was seen in a three-piece suit in tweed can look incredibly chic. Had the model lost just one accessory (the scarf, cap and booties were a little much), she would have been the perfect example to follow.
Jena Malone The actress on our right attended the Limitless screening in Los Angeles sporting an all white version of the menswear trend. The structured white blazer plus the pleated white skirt and white and pink collared shirt really add up to one put together outfit.

Oh my god I can’t believe it, that’s a shoe and not a banana

September 8th, 2011

Kobi levi the footwear designer, has proved his talent to the industry and moved ahead. Today his potential is infecting all. His creative ideas are admired and appreciated everywhere. The young designer is working as a freelance designer. He has collaborated with both Israeli and international companies, he is currently working on his women shoe line in Tel-Aviv, Israel. He has designed commercial footwear in Italy, China and Brazil. He has also presented his design in various exhibitions in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Tokyo, Verona, St.Etienne, Berlin etc’.
The designer comes up with every single individual piece with a concept behind it in mind. Shoe is just a base to show his creativity. The combination of the image and footwear creates a new hybrid and the design/concept comes to life. The piece is a wearable sculpture. It is “alive” with/out the foot/body. Most of the inspirations are out of the “shoe-world”, and give the footwear an extreme transformation. The result is usually humoristic with a unique point of view about footwear. Another aspect of the creation is the realization. All the pieces are hand-made. The challenging technical development is the key to bring the design to life in the best way.” In the end it’s tough to figure out whether it’s really a shoe. The tongue, rat, play ground, double shoe, banana shoe are his extra ordinary achievements.
