It Is All About Styling

October 19th, 2011

We all love to look tall, even though we are not that tall. This is where styling can help an individual. Extra tall or extra petite, your cloths can make your body look proportionate, without limiting you from wearing what you love. It’s the styling tricks which give you a different look. so here we talk about a maxi dress. It’s the trend today.

A maxi dress if worn by a petite person will make her look shorter and might not suit her personality if not worn in the right way. So are few tips for petite people who would love to see themselves in maxi dress.

First, select a high-waisted skirt to create the illusion of longer legs (your highest pair of heels with a nice platform will also help, big time!). In addition, keep your tops on the shorter side. A cropped shirt—nothing too oversized—will maintain a longer line. Finally, avoid the “I’m-swimming-in-my-maxi-dress” look by adding a belt to define your natural waistline. Choose your favorite buckle, but keep the band narrow: A wider belt will only stunt your proportions. Go forth, wear maxis, and live large, little lady!

What’s wrong if a designer walks the ramp?

October 11th, 2011

Our country is flooded with extremely talented people all around; it’s just this that we don’t know them. Let me introduce you to one among the artistic personalities.

Sahil Kocchar a designer cum model from Delhi. He started as a designer, but is also a model today at the age of 26. He decided to go forward with designing as a profession, where he will not quit walking the ramp, but will do it only for a few designers. The adroit designs for couple of international and national brands along with designer Rohit Bal. it was for the mentor Rohit he walked the ramp first, it was then he got couple of more offers from designers like Rajesh Pratap Singh, Tarun.

He also walked the ramp for the men’s fashion week. A few days before the Men’s Week, designer Rakesh Thakore offered him to walk quoting that he was looking for a physique like him. Thus the designer walked the ramp for him. It’s a very good opportunity for Sahil and nothing wrong if this designer walks the ramp. Till we don’t see days where all models become designers or designers become model….

He shows, undoubtedly, the strength of new Indian generations.
