Betty White begins Line of Hoodies!
Watch out, cold winter, “Hot in Cleveland” star Betty White has a collection of hoodies that will stay you looking cool all year — and it’s all for a good cause.
Avid animal activist Betty has teamed with fashion designer Jerry Leigh to make a line of tees and hoodies, with a portion of the proceeds to promote animal health organization, the Morris Animal Foundation.
“B-Dubs” makes her fashionista debut with these hip hoodies, hooked-up with HoodieBuddie technology — which comprises machine washable earbuds on the hood and an input jack in the pocket. Betty rocks it!

Italian designer makes gorgeous illuminated shoes from fiber optics
Lighting on footwear is usually limited to those blinking LEDs on little kids’ sneakers. But these illuminated high heels are a dissimilar — and much more chic — animal.
Created by Italian fashion designer Francesca Castagnacci, the heels enclose fiber-optic strands. Each optical fiber is as thin as a human hair, making them completely suitable to be woven into garments — or accessories, as is the case here.
The fibers themselves don’t light up; there requirements to be an LED at either end to make them truly illuminated. Of course, that brings up the entire issue of batteries and whatnot, but that’s no big. In any case, the result is gorgeous. I would love to see the luminous effect if one of the female contestants on Dancing with the Stars wore a pair of these.

The final time a fashion designer worked with a brand on the kit was 26 years ago in 1984.
Speaking regarding the task ahead of her, she said: As a British fashion designer, it is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime chance to be creative director of Team GB as the host nation of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Victoria Pendleton, an Olympic winner, added: ‘I’m a massive fan of Stella McCartney and with London hosting the Olympic Games, it is actually important as the host nation to set the standards.
To have a British designer inputting into the British kit is going to be extremely special.
